Detailed Compliance Analysis
Websites
With the upgrade and redesign of Monri’s official website and the implementation of the UserWay accessibility plugin, the website is largely compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 (WCAG 2.2).
Despite our efforts to make our websites accessible, we recognize that some limitations remain and we are actively working to address them. Below is a list of known limitations and possible solutions:
- Monri Payments official website: Some links lack sufficient context to be understandable on their own, which may confuse screen reader users.
- Monri WSPay service website: Links differ from surrounding text only by color. Similarly, some data on charts differ from others only by color. This may make it difficult for users with visual impairments to find links or understand charts.
Elimination of these deficiencies is planned during 2025.
In-store Payment Processing
Card payment devices offered by Monri Payments (POS terminals) were developed and put into production before 28 June 2025. According to Article 31 of the Act, these devices may remain in use in their current form for the next 20 years, until 28 June 2045.
Therefore, these products are currently not subject to accessibility obligations, but Monri monitors technological developments and aligns new generations of devices with future requirements.
Known limitations:
- No support for screen readers.
- No option to change font size or optimize contrast.
Online Payment Processing
This includes products such as WebPay and WSPay payment forms, Monri Web Dashboard, WSPay Admin, PayPer Dashboard, QR Pay Dashboard, WebRisk, WPOS Admin, and other similar interface tools. These online solutions are partially compliant with accessibility principles according to WCAG 2.2 guidelines. There are functional and visual limitations that affect accessibility for users with disabilities, particularly those using assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers, keyboard navigation, high contrast devices).
Known limitations and notes:
- Most online applications do not support full navigation without using a mouse.
- Visual focus indicators when navigating by keyboard are mostly absent or not clearly visible.
- Full support for screen readers is not enabled. Many functionalities are not available via alternative inputs.
- Most interfaces support font enlargement and scaling without loss of functionality.
- Some applications have contrast levels below the recommended ratio (at least 4.5:1), but information is never conveyed by color alone.
- Alternative descriptions for images and icons conveying information are sometimes missing.
Monri continuously invests efforts to improve the accessibility of its digital products and services, especially in online payments. We are aware of existing functional and visual shortcomings that affect accessibility for users with disabilities and have planned systematic updates and interface adaptations throughout 2025 and 2026 aimed at achieving greater compliance with applicable guidelines (including WCAG 2.2).
Cash Register Solutions
According to Article 4, paragraph 2 of the Act, products not directly intended for end users (e.g., devices used exclusively by business staff) are not subject to accessibility requirements.
Therefore, Monri Payments’ classic fiscal cash registers used by staff (e.g., waiters, salespeople) are exempt from the Act as they are not designed for use by end users. Only self-service solutions (self-service kiosks and cash registers) fall under the scope of the Act.
These solutions are currently not compliant and upgrading them would require significant technical and financial investments, which at this time represent a disproportionate burden according to Article 13 of the Act. Known limitations include:
- No support for screen readers or alternative input methods
- Interface cannot be used without a touchscreen
- No option to increase font size or ensure contrast schemes
- Lack of alternative text for all visual elements
Pursuant to Article 13 of the Act on Accessibility Requirements for Products and Services and Article 7 of Directive (EU) 2019/882, Monri Payments invokes exemption due to disproportionate burden, considering the nature of the products, number of users, and cost structure of upgrades.
Support and Documentation
Monri provides user support through multiple accessible channels, including email, contact forms, and technical documentation available on its websites. Contact forms are largely adapted for use with screen readers and keyboard navigation, aiming to ensure accessible communication to all users, including persons with disabilities.
User documentation, guides, and FAQs are available in text format and written in simple and clear language in accordance with the Act’s requirements. However, we are aware that some older materials are not fully compatible with assistive technologies such as screen readers, and some video content still lacks captions or transcripts.
Additionally, support staff are currently not specifically trained to assist users with disabilities. Monri is considering including basic training on communication and assistive technologies for support staff as part of future training programs.
Measures Taken
To improve accessibility, Monri:
- Uses WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines as a standard for developing new products, digital interfaces, and applications,
- Regularly tests the accessibility of its digital products,
- Incorporates accessibility adaptations in the development plan for products and services that were on the market before 28 June 2025.
Preparation of the Accessibility Statement
This statement was prepared using a self-assessment method carried out by the Monri Payments team. It was created in accordance with the proposed format pursuant to Article 11, paragraph 2 of the Act and the recommended methods from the European Commission Guidelines.
The statement was compiled on 27 June 2025 and last updated on 27 June 2025. It will be reviewed at least once a year or in the event of significant changes to relevant products or legislation.
